A CPA with nearly 10 years of finance and accounting experience, Jake began his career with the world’s largest accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers as an auditor. He was promoted early to the Senior role in just a year and a half of service, where Jake was responsible for creating audit plans, helping to coordinate staffing, leading teams in the field and being the primary point of contact for client relationships. In this short time, Jake founded the staff advisory board, and was appointed to represent the staff members on the Atlanta Staff Advisory council. After two years of working the lead capacity, Jake was recruited into the transaction services group, on the financial due diligence team, where he worked on both buy side and sell side transactions in amounts form $12 million to $5 Billion dollars in transaction value. He worked directly with private equity investors and sellers, as well as company owners focusing on Quality of Earnings analysis as well as assets. In addition, Jake was often asked to provide analysis on the strengths of key financial players in transactions to enable his purchasing clients to better assess the business’ overall strengths and weaknesses not just from a purely financial aspect.
In 2009 Jake left PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Manager to found a New Orleans based real estate investment company, with an emphasis on Green Renovation practices, a personal passion of his. He is very well versed in the application of green practices in single and two family occupant properties, inclusive of geothermal, solar, modern insulation techniques. Despite the economic crisis surrounding the real estate market, Jake was able to raise millions of dollars in both traditional and private capital to fund real estate projects all across the southeast, including Louisiana, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.
In 2011, Jake was recruited by Robert Half Finance and Accounting to join their team as a Recruiting Manager bringing expertise in the finance and accounting arena where he specializes in consulting with clients to better understand and help craft finance and accounting personnel needs, assess potential candidates for placement and post placement evaluation. Having worked in the buying and selling of companies, Jake has the unique background that allows him to understand a business’s future and current needs and develop a systematic approach to recruiting and assessing the right talent to meet those needs, inclusive of meeting the cultural needs of the company.
Jake brings to Sader Power the right mix of understanding and believing in the mission of the company, technical and certified accounting background, experience dealing with both large and small clients, what it means to run a small but efficient and growing business, working at a fast pace yet remaining accurate and professional, and an understanding of the importance and diligence involved in developing and recruiting the right team. Jake understands that an efficient but scalable process is the key to growth and each financial process or improvement is designed with that in mind.
